What I have linked above is truly a tragic thing, a child has been struck by lightning and is struggling to survive. Here I am to help make sure that all of you will be prepared when you are outside in a thunderstorm. This is my guide to survive a thunderstorm.

1) Make sure you are with someone
Chances are, one of you have a 50-50 chance to get hit if lightning strikes. That's better than 100%.
2) If lightning strikes near you, run to a different area. There's always a chance that lightning strikes twice in the same place.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST RULE OF THEM ALL, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ONE ENOUGH:
3) Always, always,
always stand near metal objects. This is backed up by scientific research. The + particles in the clouds always want to go to a place with many - particles. Metal objects always carry a lot of - particles so lightning will naturally strike the metal object instead of you. Below are a few pictures to fully demonstrate.

I know, it's a little hurried, but Buzz said I was wasting hours of my life on this and I rushed to make it 20 minutes.
I hope this guide helped you and made you more aware of the dangers of lightning, and if requested, I will add more information.
