Just posting to say that I've finished my Emerald run. 3 of my main team survived, although I left one of them in the PC by accident outta stupidity. I'll get to letting you all know the details when I'm next on.

Also caught a Bold Latias after the E4. May migrate her if she has good IVs.

Finally starting my HG one, I'll do a writeup soon.

Right, lets gogogo!

So, I picked Chikorita on my SS cart and Cyndaquil is my second favourite, so that's who I went with this time. I named him Inferno, becuase I'm cool like that and name all my pokes after manga characters.

So do all the usual shiz, speak to Elm and stuff, get the jazzy pokegear and head for Cherrygrove. Raped a few Rattatas and Pidgeys, and did it during the day so I wouldn't get owned by Spinaraks (I hate poison even more now). Got the mystery egg, then owned imaginatively-named Silver and his Totodile. Finally shook off Ethan and started this shit for real. Route 31 gave me a Bellsprout (>__>) and Dark Cave gave me a Zubat. Spart and Maje suggested catching a Geodude on route 46, so I went and did that.

Finally got to Violet city, managing to avoid being poisoned by fucking Weedles and then Inferno nomnomnomed his way through Sprout Tower and evolved at the end. I caught a Gastly (yaays for more poison-immune stuff). Geodude demolished Falkner and his gym, as I was told it would.

I failed in the Ruins of Alph and caught an Unown >_< then a Wooper on Route 32. With new fishing rod I went back and got a pair of Magikarps in Cherrygrove and New Bark Town. I loves me some Magikarp =3

Moar Geodudez in Union Cave, but sad times for Wooper, who got poisoned by a Koffing and couldn't make it back to the pogeyman centre in time )=. Then caught a Spearow on Route 33. Missed out on a Slowpoke in the Well, got another Zubat instead. Team Rocket were deceptively easy, as were Bugsy's trainers. Bugsy HERself, however, was a bitch. Geoguge Rock Polished up against Scyther and took a U-turn to the face. Geo failed to OHKO Metapod (it was calm natured...), but beat it without too much trouble. Scyther came back in and LIVED THE ROCK THROW, before U-turning AGAIN, and Geo just about scraped out alive, then got fucking poisoned by the Kakuna he couldn't OHKO either and died )= So in comes Quilava and I went for a sneaky Quick Attack to finish it off, but IT LIVED ;___; and Focused energied in my face. Then Bugsy used a potion and Ember did pitifully little. So this time Scyther used Quick Attack and my HP bar just went down and down and I was like "shit, it's a crit". And it was, obviously. I worked out that I should just live another one (provided it didn't crit) and thankfully I did and was able to finish it off.

So now I'm grinding, as apparently I'm really underleveled. I'm going to get me a Gyarados and hopefully a Weepinbell, then go off to fight Silver.

Pretty much came out of absence to start one of these (see my thread in the Introductions board). Probably going to do FireRed, or Ruby if I can stomach losing my current, 5 badge save file. Will update with log when I start.
